Tano is a passionate creator and innovator with a deep love for Japanese culture and local ingredients. Originally from California, Tano moved to Japan in 2017 and started working at Sugarhill Kyoto, a Japanese-Western fusion restaurant owned by Masayuki Koyano. Under Mr. Koyano's mentorship, Tano was inspired to explore the world of mead-making and discovered his true passion. He spent countless hours researching and experimenting with different ingredients until he finally perfected his craft. Today, Tano is the head mead-maker at Sato Oka Meadery, where he continues to push the boundaries of what's possible with this traditional beverage. His dedication to quality and innovation is the driving force behind the success of Sato Oka Meadery, and his passion for Japanese culture and tradition is evident in every bottle.
